Murder of wife by husband, husband tried to commit suicide by consuming poison

An incident in Mundagoda, Uttara Kannada district, where the husband beheaded his wife with a machete and tried to commit suicide by consuming poison.

Akkamma Basavaraja is the woman who was murdered upstairs. The murdered woman was a member of Pala Gram. The woman was murdered in the premises of the house. Saffron is spread around the dead body and election leaflets are placed inside and outside the house and grass, saffron etc. are placed on them.

Patiraya Basavaraja, who is struggling with death after murder and attempted suicide, has been treated at Hubli Chems.

A case has been registered at the Mundagoda police station.
